Summer School Fees

Fee increase
As we noted last year, the Summer School has faced substantial cost increases for the last few years and has been running at a loss equivalent to 30% of fees which we can’t sustain.  Last year we increased fees by 10% and noted this was likely to increase again at these levels for each of the next few years to bring the schools back to break even.

We have increased fees this year by 12.5% for family fees and a reduction of 1-2% on camping subsidies.  There are also some additional increases in the individual fee levels.

We have chosen to take losses over a few years in order to carry the cost increase for attendees as long as possible through financially tough times for many.  Where possible, we would welcome your donations to assist in making up this shortfall.

Keeping the fee increase at this level means we will be subsidising fees quite heavily from the Capital Foundation investment income for another year.

We want to make it very clear that we don’t want fees to be a reason for not coming, so please contact the Hosts if fee levels will cause you an issue.
